Securing a future where antimicrobials continue to save lives.
AMR Action & Insights aims to be a collaborative and authoritative source of AMR information to inform policy and action to minimise the impact of AMR on humans, animals, and the environment.
A Minimising Antimicrobial Resistance initiative, co-developed by CSIRO, the Department of Health and Aged Care, and the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry, our mission is to halt the rising death rate and economic burden of AMR in Australia by 2030.
We work with a diverse community of experts, policymakers, and stakeholders to support a sustainable AMR ecosystem, promote responsible use of antimicrobials, and support research and development in this critical field.
Minimising Antimicrobial Resistance partners:
This website features content developed by independent writers and collaborations with a diverse network of partner organisations. While we value and incorporate a wide range of perspectives, the views expressed in the content do not necessarily reflect the official positions or opinions of all partner organisations.
Our logo
The tetrahedron is an ideal symbol for the One Health approach to AMR because it represents the interconnectedness and equal importance of the human, animal, and environmental sectors in addressing antimicrobial resistance. Each face of the tetrahedron can be seen as representing one of these sectors, while the fourth face symbolises the integrative One Health approach itself.
The shape’s geometric stability and symmetry illustrate how these sectors must work in harmony to create a balanced and effective response to AMR. Just as the tetrahedron remains stable regardless of how it is positioned, the One Health approach relies on the strength and support of all sectors working together to achieve a unified goal.
